HIV/AIDS has plagued South Africa for many years now. The infection rate is among the highest in the world. According to estimates drawn from surveys, one out of three women under age 25 are living with HIV. In 2009 a phone-based counselling centre called RedChatZone was launched to support and to give information to those living with HIV.

You know you're coming up in the world when you get your own office phone and extension. Well - maybe that's not that impressive - but it is to me. I haven't had a land-line in years (thanks to University life) so actually having a phone sitting here makes me feel secure. As my cleverly chosen title indicates, I'm working at ITWeb, the glorious Lord and Master of MyDL. I'm here for two weeks for a little bit of experience and to hopefully learn. I'll be documenting it on here. For no reason other than the fact that it seems like something I could do to keep myself busy during the quiet moments.

They’ve given it different names, yet it still looks the same. From laptop, to notebook to netbook…who knows what the differences are? Some will quote you the differences off hand, some will swear there is a noticeable difference, but honestly…there is no difference, its something that’s not stationary, you can carry it around and work on it no matter where you are! Now, it’s no more a phone war. Microsoft dabbled in phones to steal some of Apple’s market share, and then Steve became blatantly upset, and vented like any self respecting man would. Now, everyone is tossing his supposed salad!
