App review: Frametastic

Posted by Charmed in review , iPod Touch , iPhone , ipad , frametastic , app

I downloaded Frametastic a few weeks ago and it is listed (currently) as “free for a limited time” in its description on iTunes. If you are reading this and own any compatible device – iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad (running iOS 4.0 or later), I suggest you download it – you won’t regret it.

iOS 5: wireless update

Posted by Charmed in wireless software update , iPhone , ios 5 , Apple

I got to try one of iOS 5′s new features earlier today – wireless software update, because I left my cable at home. It was very simple, all I had to do was go into Settings > General > Software Update and begin!

Posted by msbodetti in Windows , snowbreeze , redsnow , Mac , iTunes , iPod , iPhone , ipad , ios 5 , Apple

After my last post on the live blog stream of the "Let's talk iPhone" I haven't really had a chance downloading and updating my iPhone to iOS 5.

What really bugged me was the headlines of Apple's servers not being sufficient for the update. Well lets see… Steve passed away (R.I.P), this was a real revelation for the iOS and they were releasing a new iPhone on Friday so obviously it would be swamped.

iOS 5 is wonderful… getting it is not!

Posted by SMokorosi in iPhone , ipad , ios 5 , Apple

I have resigned myself to the fact that the Apple eco-system is a pain to get into, but paradise once you’re in. My history with my iPhone 4 and my two iPads should have prepared me for my experience thus far with iOS 5.

Although we knew why Steve Jobs left Apple when he did, it was still a shock reading about his death via Twitter and Facebook yesterday.

QR (Quick Response) codes are 2D barcodes and one of the innovations promising immediacy in data retrieval. They work in a similar way to the barcodes used in retail – where they are used to store product quantity and prices, except QR codes can hold much more data.
