'Thor' - Patrick Doyle
Besides the stunning CGI effects and the stellar cast the storyline was not an a epic LOTR narrative. Yet I feel the saving grace - except for Chris Hemsworth's amazing physique - was the film's score.

Exceptionally aesthetically sound crafting in terms of harmonic and melodic constructions creating a fluent music language moving in sync with the visual narrative.

Mr Doyle is known for his thoughtful and sensitive score for 'Sense and Sensibility', and this is what sets him apart from other Hollywood scorers, in that his score literally co-exists with the visual narrative, instead of merely commenting on it.

Review : Thor

Paralyzer

Directed by Kenneth Branangh the British actor – cum - director whose made a name for himself in bringing to life Shakespearian plays both infront and behind the camera. Brings Thor into the 21st century with a touch of Shakespearian plot devices, 3D glasses and really well thought out story that actually has character development and some form of true catharsis. Yes I just mentioned the c – word in a blockbuster. I hope Michael bay was taking notes. Thor proves that pop corn flicks can bring on the action without coming across as stupid or none coherent or just an excuse to stitch action set pieces together.
