For the last few months, Apple has been in and out of court for the trademarking of the App Store and Microsoft stopping them. Another big headline that hit Friday morning is that Apple finds that the design and features of Samsungs new mobile phones and tablets too similar to their own.
"Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple's technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products," that is a summary of Apple's lawsuit against Samsung.
Along with the above statement, there is a list of comparisons between Apple's iDevices and Samsung's mobile phones and now their tablets. Apple says that the exterior design as well as the icon's in Samsung's devices are too similar to their own this includes the music, texting, phone and contacts.
Besides this, Samsung is Apple's supplier for different chips for their iDevices and Macbooks. So I think this will come to a halt.
I have to agree with them though. The Samsung Galaxy S is really nice and even close to the iPhone 4's design. The touch screen is top notch! And yea some of the icons are similar... But it's competition so I dont know if the court will rule in favour of Apple but this slows down the competitors of Apple so this will favour Apple in some way!
