2011 is fast becoming the year of the people’s revolution, from Tunisia to South Sudan and now Egypt stands at the brink of yet another peoples revolution or another aborted peoples revolution that will only lead to backroom politicking that leaves old frogs to die in power like in Zimbabwe. Only time will tell what the outcome will be but the Egyptian people have my support for its a right of any man to choose his country’s government. A right as South Africans we should feel very strongly about given our history yet aside from the odd twitter and facebook message we as South Africans seem to be very quiet on matters of principle.

ANC youth league - asina mahloni ngawe?

Paralyzer

Years ago, the ANC was a liberation struggle movement ; it's street credibility, moral value and reputation was high. Leaders like iNkosi Albert Luthuli, OR Tambo and Madiba were admired on the continent and internationally for their believes and goals for South Africa .The youth league was synonymous with revolutionary young lions, who were at the forefront of the battle for change but what does the youth league stand for today?Theres a crises facing the ANC youth league,a crises of identity and relevance? what am i basin this on,during the youth festival i realised how most of the delegates were of the working class community with zero to no representation from the middle classes. If that was not worse when talking to some people i know the peole would not want to be associated with the ANC youth league; but why?
