On Monday 23 May and Friday 27 May, the Student HIV AIDS Resistance Campaign (SHARC) Society of Rhodes University, is hosting an HIV/AIDS test drive, offering free tests to all voluntary participants. And seeing as combating AIDS/HIV is one of the Millennium Development Goals, I thought it would be most appropriate to discuss this topic.

To re-cap this is the outline of the sixth MDG goal:

Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases

Target 6A: Have halted by 2015 and begun to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS

Target 6B: Achieve, by 2010, universal access to treatment for HIV/AIDS for all those who need it

Target 6C: Have halted by 2015 and begun to reverse the incidence of malaria and other major diseases

I do believe I'm back

Actually, I promised the lovely RedSaid that I would magically conjure 500 words on MyDL and 500 words on my personal blog. This impromptu arrangement  followed a little Facebook status update I made last night after I realized I was a whole bunch happier when I still blogged regularly. (Sadly, my personal blog shall remain un-updated for now, gravity is taking its toll on my eyelids.)

Broken Art

Posted by DevilTrigger in Art

I went to an Art Gallery today in what must have been years, and I must say it was quite good to go out and actually look at art that was physically right before me. I blame you, Deviantart, for making it so easy to access a glorious amount of artistic stuff from the comfort of my chair with wheels in front of my computer.

Amazing work...but does it remind you of anyone?

Posted by Dissol in Art

This is amazing!!  It has been made from cups of coffee!!!  If you look carefully, you can see them.

But who is it??  Is it the Mona Lisa, or our very own Charmed??
