The Social Network Meme

Posted by: Charmed

Tagged in: Untagged

I found this meme online and you know how I love doing these things.

1. What was the first social network you joined?

NamesDatabase - I think I joined it in 2004 (assuming it counts as a social network?). If not, then LinkedIn - in 2006.

2. What networks do you belong to?

Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Plus, Foursquare (never checked-in), (inactive), Path (iPhone).

3. Which one is your favourite?

4. Which one is your least favourite?

LinkedIn. Have you logged onto it lately? It's awful.

5. How many "friends" do you have?

Currently on Facebook, 246 - but I "clean" up every few months (I've deleted more than 300 people since joining in 2007).

6. What are your favourite apps?

On my phone: Tweetbot, Instagram, Camera+, Navigon, FNB

7. What do you like about social networking sites?

Being able to share information immediately.

8. What do you hate about social networking sites?

When people use it to spy on you.

Nice... LinkedIn is not THAT bad! Sure, it's not pretty with many pictures, but that is not it's purpose. It's great to network in a professional capacity. Why don't you like it?...

I agree with Pippen. Got some great leads and articles on LinkedIn. It's the black sheep of social networking and it doesn't deserve to be.

Okay, I should have been more clear. I don't like LinkedIn because it's a badly designed website and that just ruins the whole experience for me. The only thing I do when I do logon is accept friend requests. Also, I've stopped accepted random industry folk I've never heard of. They just want to spam you.

Know how you feel about LinkedIn. So buggy and just ugly. Urrgh. I like this little quiz, charmed. I'm going to rip it of if that's ok?

Yes, of course, I was hoping people would do that! Or it would be a social network fail! smilies/tongue.gif
