I was reading an interesting article on the Samsung Galaxy II where Samsung Electronics has announced that the Samsung Galaxy SII has passed the 5 million global sales milestone - and i can see why.  My hubby upgraded his phone and took one of these and i have to say that i am a little envious.

It is stunningly thin (8.49mm) and very lightweight considering the size of the phone.  The viewing performance is phenomenal, is dual core and runs on Android (worlds fastest growing mobile operating system)

The next generation smartphone also includes exclusive access to Samsung’s four new content and entertainment hubs, seamlessly integrated to provide instant access to music, games, e-reading and social networking services.   Access to any of the applications is almost instantaneous, the touchscreen keyboard facility is suitable for any "size finger" and makes for easy, quick updates. Browsing the net is a breeze and due to the size of the screen, it makes for an amazing, almost computer like experience - no squinting.

What is interesting is that this 5 million mark has been reached in just 85 days.  and it is expected to accelerate as the  Samsung has just been launched in China, the worlds largest market.
