Anita Ward: ‘Ring my bell’ in Games’ audio branding
‘Games’ jumps on the pop sponsoring cloud with Anita Wards golden oldies hit ‘Ring my bell’.
With so few advertising companies and television production houses focus on the authentic power of sound in terms of congruent audio branding, pop sponsoring (a branch of audio branding) is at least gathering some weight little by little.
The new Games advert has a bit of a promising narrative that starts off with a school bell and how it eventually has the power to draw people to celebrate the power of Games. Yet the ‘superstar’ of the advert is the fabulously rearranged Anita Ward ‘Ring my bell’ that takes on new significance in the context of the new Games narrative.
I am delighted that there is an awakening in terms of the power of sound – the commercial and brand-worthy power of sound.
Well done to Games – and their branding team.
