Yes a report has come from the DVICE team on NBC Bay Area claiming they have news from the supplier on an update on the iPhone 5.

They say it's not going to be released like before like the previous iPhone models. The usual timing is during Apple's WWDC but they claim it will only launch in September this year.

Apparently the supplier says there is no big changes for the iPhone 5 from the iPhone 4. It will have the same design and retina display but with RAM changes, A5 processor found in the iPad 2 and an upgrade to the camera (From 5 Mega Pixels to 8 Mega Pixels)

And Apple has confirmed no NFC technology will be put into the iPhone 5 and speculation has it that Apple will put big improvements on the iPhone 6 next year (Already talking about it FTW!!) But nevertheless big updates will be found in the iOS 5 update firmware which is expected to be released at the end of this year!

As usual these are rumors from people stating they have news from the supplier. Another rumor has it that Apple wants to keep rumors of the iPhone 5 on a down low so we never know if this will really be in the next generation of iPhones or if it's just another person faking it. Only time will tell…

As an iPhone 4 user, I can't see many areas that require improvement, other than battery life. Maybe handwriting recognition, although that is more apllicaple to the iPad I guess...

Yea alot of people dont see the need to upgrade but Apple will develop firmware updates in future and it will no longer be applicable for previous iDevice models that's where Apple can get people into buying their new products...

They will say that previous iDevice specs wont be able to handle their newer updates but through the Jailbreaking community alot of updates that aren't applicable to prior iDevices can be bypassed and installed.
