Jefferies & Co. Apple analyst Peter Misek has confirmed research that the next generation iPhone will not be the iPhone 5 but the iPhone 4S.
Apparently from the analyst, he says the iPhone 4S will be launched in September this year and have no LTE functionality(Not that many service providers can provide this)
“According to our industry checks, the device should be called iPhone 4S and include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support,” he writes in a research note.
He also adds that Sprint, T-Mobile(Launch) and China Mobile(next 12 months) will be added to the carriers list. So now the iPhone 4S will be available to all US carriers giving everyone the freedom to get one without Jailbreaking and Unlocking. This also introduces International awareness for the iPhone 4S with China.
He also concludes that the the demand for the White iPhone 4 is significantly lower than the iPad 2's. So there might be a drop in supply and demand for the iPhone 4S but with all the new features and compatibilities there could be a higher demand.
