Blog the revolution - Revised

Some people use blogs to talk about their daily lives, others actually make a statement...Inspired by The Source's complaining about traffic tax (or whatever) and countless other bloggers that, instead of pouring out their meagre little lives ("And then I went to the shop, and bought a dress, and then my dog was sick on the floor... blah blah blah"), actually say something worth reading that we all identify with.

Whether it is strong opinions about the government that no one in the press would ever dare utter, or views on life that make us all feel a little less alone, blogging says something about our situation.

We have activist poets, musicians, filmmakers... When will the bloggers get recognition? Unlike the others mentioned, bloggers don't *do* metaphors. Which is great in stamping out equivocality.

I wonder, when times have changed and the government improves, will bloggers that were calling out society's faults get recognised?

I wonder if there are bloggers in communist countries or somewhere controlling, that will become known as a blogger for the people? Bloggers that are being earmarked by the CIA, the illuminati, whatever, as "at risk"?

Hmm...

I guess what I actually wanted to mean was how revolutionary poets become very famous etc, and yet we don't have any notorious revolutionary bloggers that are recognised.

Like, "The people's blogger"

We do have one - there is a lady that started a blog after she found she could not have children. Can't recall her blog now, but she's been in magazines and tv and alles.
