powachair

This is a blog written by the best wheelchair jockey in South Africa. Some say I’m sick, some say my brain is tired, some say I’m weird but most agree that I have a sense of humour. Warped, maybe, but still able to raise a smile or a chuckle. There are some fun, some sad, some happy and some bad articles written about everyday life from a wheelchair perspective. Things look different from down here. I try not to be politically correct and I will have a dig at anybody that screws up, immaterial of colour, belief, political party or anything else. Stupid statements made by people will be exposed.

Another load of Bull

It all happened at the CTICC today as a sangoma was preparing to circumcise a bull in the street cleansing ceremony. Five jets flew over in a practise run, scaring the crap out of the sangoma. His knife slipped and he miss cut the bull. The bull bellowed, kicked him in the head and took off across the road.
The bull was last seen charging down Adderley Street in Cape Town being chased by ten thousand screaming soccer fans. The bull was to be beaten to death with vuvuzellas in honour of the great soccer king September Butter, and the blood was to be sprinkled in each corner of the new Cape Town stadium. This, in itself is going to be a problem because the thing is round.
A spokesperson for the government Mr Circular Mabona said that there had been a language problem between the architects van Snail, van Spoor and Poggenpoel and the building contractors Marema and Mamparra contractors.
The colour of the stadium was to be “bond” (Afrikaans) which means multi coloured, in honour of the rainbow nation but the builders had understood that the stadium should be “rond” (Afrikaans) or round in English.
This problem will be sorted out and the field will be made square as per FIFA regulations, thereby avoiding a scenario where Bafana runs around in circles. It will also ensure that there is a place for Bhongi Quick shoot Ngidi to take his famous khona keeks.

This symbolic slaughter has been carried out at all the world cups for the past few hundred years and could not be stopped in case it killed the king and forced all Catholics to give up communion for lent. Strange, I know, but true.
It has recently been stated by an esteemed judge His Honour Judge Bietjie van Wynkop that stopping the slaughter was the same as stopping Catholics from having communion. The vicious and inhumane way that the juice was stamped out of the grapes was under discussion with a special enquiry into the reason for the juice being incarcerated in wooden cells, underground, for so long. Fruit and Veg rights activists have promised to fight this all the way to the constitutional court if need be. They also stated that they had the undying support of Judge Haaikona Umtata.

The Blue Bulls are especially worried by this new judgement allowing the hands on slaughter of this bull. They don’t mind if a black, white, brown or mixed colour bull is slaughtered but claim that it would be racist to kill a blue one. The colour of the bull in question is unknown at this stage. The leader of the BBYL (blue bulls youth league) Christoffel Johannes Albertus van der Transvaal says that they are prepared to die for their captain Biltong van Beesvleis.

It has also been understood that one of the girls that visited Biltong at his home has laid charges of rape laid against him. This he vehemently denies, and said “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”. After they were finished petting he bathed in beetroot juice and gargled with garlic and lemons, so all HIV/AIDS germs acquired when kissing her would have been destroyed. Mr van der Transvaal gave her some taxi money and sent her home.

All developments in the running with bulls saga will be posted on this page. Watch this space.
