 That you may have missed.
One for Traysee, as she is a (would be) speed freak. From the BBC news a better bike  - Isn't it wonderful was a few million dollars of government money can do. I cant see the American 'Joe or Jane  Public' using it, let alone fitting in it.

----- Well it might be next year ................. the Icephone cometh

A smart phone originally built for the British military and which unfolds to three panels - the screen, a full QWERTY typing pad and a game pad with multiple triggers - is set to  launch commercially next year,  when it will sell for under £680 – R10,000.

The Icephone, which is being called 'The Swiss Army Knife of Gadgets', is a 3G gadget with a 3in screen that's described as a phone, e-book, gaming device and GPS by Graham Gilmour, from Edinburgh-based developer The Medical Phone.
"The phone changes shape to suit the task at hand," said Gilmour, who demonstrating the Icephone at November's 3GSM Asia exhibition in Macau.
The Windows mobile based phone, which has a rubbery, ruggedised casing, features a 'ICE button' just below the typing pad. Users can hit the button to notify emergency services, operate the sat-nav, or even obtain their complete digital medical records, identification and other data.

Still worried about power-cuts and outages? Music running out part way through you favourite tracks or cell-phone beeping 'battery low'? Well now you can cure that problem.

Lingerie maker Triumph International has certainly taken the company's eco-friendly efforts to new heights with its latest product, the Solar Power Bra. Unveiled in Tokyo recently, this green-coloured bra is made of high-quality organic cotton and features a detachable solar panel which is worn around the stomach. According to Triumph, the solar panel can generate enough electricity to power a mobile phone or iPod.

Unfortunately, even if you are daring enough to wear the solar bra out on the streets, it is still a concept product for now. A Triumph company spokesperson says there are still problems that need to be resolved such as the bra's lack of water resistance and the fact that "people usually cannot go outside without wearing clothes over it". The company, however, believes the Solar Power Bra does send out a positive message on how lingerie can play a part in saving the planet.

Triumph's earlier green efforts included a bra that can double as a reusable shopping bag and one that is designed to promote the use of reusable chopsticks.
