I thought I was rid of Windows forever. Unfortunately not. A recent flooding of my flat resulted in my laptop being damaged and having to be sent in. The insurance company phoned me and told me that my computer was beyond repair and that I needed a new one.

My girlfriend bought the EA Games FIFA 12 for my birthday. I like sports sims. Except this is EA and I am a fan of Konami's Pro Evo franchise.

Customer service in South Africa stinks. If the epitome of it is Telkom with their hellish commitment to incompetence, where do the likes of Discovery Vitality rank? What about KFC? What about? 

I remember reading the tweets around the iPhone 4S. The whole world expected the iPhone 5, some people had even “bought” it on those criminal auction sites. The tweets were horrific. Apple had messed up. Steve had let everyone down.

I was busy doing a social media presentation for a workshop tomorrow. And then this juicy bit of controversy falls into my lap. @DurexSA decided to be sexist on its timeline.

I try to be patient and understanding. It wasn't Thabo's fault that since July I had still receive my Discovery Vitality benefits card. That the broker that sold the product unreachable. That the lady who phoned me was about as useful as a R3 coin. Then Thabo phoned to promise me that my card would be delivered by last Friday. It will now be delivered this Friday - Discovery did me a favour by sending it overnight. Today is Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday are in between but this is overnight.

Before you say typical – I work for an evil corporate, let me just rearrange the word order for you:

Social Media has morphed into something ugly over the last 12 months.
