Unshackled Thoughts and Musings

Lately I've been having this overwhelming urge to write. Poetry? Prose? I don't know... Content? Fiction? Non-fiction? I'm not really sure... I do sit in front of my laptop for hours on end just strumming my fingers lightly over the keyboard. I do that sometimes, when I don't know what to write, yet the muse is shackled ever so slightly on my left shoulder. Never the right shoulder. I'm sure if she tries hard enough she could break free, but noooo.. She just sits there, quite happily restrained. Laughing. Then when the tapping of keyboard starts to bore me, I'd play around with a few sentences. Deleting them and start again. And so goes the process till I just close the document without saving. I like to write; I like to ramble about what ever tickles my fancy. Or scratches it, for that matter... Truth be told. I don't write hardly enough. So, pardon my ramblings, give me some space to clear the cobwebs out.

Google/Apple Rivalry:

In 2007 Google and Apple were big buddies, but it seems lately there's no love lost between the two companies.

You might recall my earlier articles regarding the Yahoo vs GMail, and Yahoo piggyingbacking on Nokia while Apple takes the lead. I don't hate Yahoo, really I don't. I'll admit it's not my first preference, I'm not particularly fond of Yahoo. You have to admire their resilience though... Still putting up the fine fight to move out of second place and overtake Google.

My previous article was about a unique way to profit out of the whole blogging business. About setting up a well known site, selling it and starting all over again.

6 Months ago I stumbled upon a brilliant blog. The Infopreneur started out his blogging endeavours about 2 months prior to my discovery and for a site in its baby stages, he was doing exceptionally well. According to his posts and little bits of “real life info” he revealed, this wasn’t the type of guy who had a lot of time on his hands to devote to his site. He had a wife, children and a job with long hours. Most of his writing was done on the train or bus to work; he spend some time with the kids when he got home, worked on his blog till 1am. Only to get up again at the crack of dawn.

3D TV: Too much of a good thing?

3D TV:

To be honest, I'm still undecided. I'm pretty sure though it will be a big hit with 3D "junkies" (?) and those trying to keep up with the Jones', IF they have 40k + to spare.

However, I guess the saying "too much of a good thing" can be applied here too. I really really like 3D movies. The whole experience. Sitting in a cine with colours and sounds coming to you from all directions. I loved 3D ever since we had those badly constructed glasses with blue one side and the red on the other. The good ol' days.

Not quite a facebook addict

Me? I love facebook. I'm not online 12 hours a day, but I log in daily. Sometimes every second day. I enjoy reading all the various status updates, as I have some fairly intelligent friends with intelligent updates; the mundane sentences being kept to a minimum.

The number of artists I follow supply various links to articles of interest, and I love the little slideshow peeks into my friends' lives when they upload new photos. A fair amount of photo's are uploaded by me too, especially with my blackberry making it so damn easy.
