Crash is such an immensely powerful movie. It takes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to reevaluate the way you see and treat other people. The movie highlights racial prejudices and social tensions in Los Angeles. It does this by going into different people’s lives over a thirty-six hour period. It shows how people from totally different walks of life are thrown into communicating as well as working with and most importantly trusting one another, despite their discriminatory and stereotypical views they have of one another.

The acting is superb from the stellar cast. The actors have an extreme command for their roles, which makes it hard for the viewer not to almost fully relate to the various situations that the characters find themselves in.

The cinematography is also noteworthy. Close-ups of the characters faces show the disdain or pain so much more and compels the viewer to feel something.

An egalitarian society is idealistic. However this movie creates awareness of the stereotypes that people are so inclined to make of each other. This movie will definitely make you sit up and think about how we all live together, yet we live so far apart.
