Do you like streaming Radio at the office or at home?  Although opening up your browser is a simple task, sometime you accidentally close it and loose the stream right in the middle of a pomping beat.

Simple as it may be, here is a very cool alternative.  I found a Sidebar Gadget that support streaming radio of theantfarm.co.za.  Basically, any stream that opens a Windows Media Player plugin in your browser works.  I haven’t been able to find a work around for those using Adobe Flash Player.

Cool!

Hey daRedRabbit! A belated welcome to My Digital Life! (I'm also here in Stellies, by the way.)

I have not been able to stream any media because until recently, I've not had access to uncapped internet. (Now it's too slow for streaming!) I just read your bio and saw what you're studying. Cool! Does this mean you'll revive WorldSpace satellite radio in South Africa again one day? Or start up a new satellite radio offering locally that will rival Sirius/XM in the States?? I love radio too and I used to own WorldSpace (I still have it, actually, even though only two free to air channels are still operational). I loved it and miss it very very much!

Re: Cool!

Hey redsaid! Sorry for the late reply. It's been a while since my head wasn't buried in books about radiation and satellites.

As for WorldSpace, I think it is a bit before my time, but it will certainly make for some interesting reading. I think you might have misinterpreted the topic of my masters. The communication I am focusing on is inter-component, in other words, between the CPU and say a USB controller.

Although it would be a good idea to start a similar offering, I am only using this project as a stepping stone to broaden my skill set. Some of my work is very similar to that of the automotive industry.

Orbiting way over my head

Ah, yes... why am I not surprised that I misinterpreted your studies? These things tend to orbit wayyyy over my head! ;-)

Seriously though, your work sounds fascinating. You should blog about it! Educate the ignorant (like me).

As for WorldSpace being ahead of your time... yes, little one. I hear you. I'm the old foagie around here! I remember those ancient times when we still had face-to-face conversations with each other. Using our MOUTHS! To speak WORDS! Without a KEYBOARD! It was utterly barbaric, I tell ya.
