So, what's so special about the tablet? For one, Microsoft's Steven Sinofsky (president of Windows division) calls it "a tablet that’s a great PC – a PC that’s a great tablet."
Let's hope it arrives in the loal market close to when it arrives in the States.
Riaan - which one? 900? I'm going to the launch this evening ![]()
Like I said, I was very impressed with it
It could easily become my second phone
But he should get ahead and start offering big companies an opportunity to start creating apps for Surface.
As long as it can interact with many other non-iPad devices I'll be happy. That's the biggest gripe I have with my iPad.
Its stupid frustrating that I can't bluetooth simple stuff from my BB to my iPad, I can'tjust connect to my PC and transfer files, I have to do it through that crap program I don't even want to mention.
There is a much simple answer to that! Use Dropbox
It's a cross platform file sharing/syncing app. So if you stick a file in your Dropbox app from iPad, it will sync IMMEDIATELY on all other connected devices! When I forget my phone cable it's handy to dump stuff into it and I see it syncing on Mac. Use my referral to sign up please (so I get 500MB credit). You get 2GB free to begin.

Scratching the Surface
Yes, at first glance, the Surface certainly looks impressive, doesn't it? Now that you mention the Lumia: I met an app developer over the weekend (his company develops apps across all platforms), and he told me that the Lumia is his favourite phone by far. He says whenever he shows it to all his iPhone-toting friends and shows them everything it is able to do, they are so impressed that they want to switch immediately! Do you agree, Ms iPhone?
