I wrote previously about some of the frustrations that I had experienced with OneNote on the iPad. A few more little irksome details have now come to light and you need to be aware of them.
It is possible on the PC and on Skydrive which is used to do the synchronisation to the iPad,to change the order of the folders. but it is not possible to do that on the iPad.
I also have a lot of frustration in trying to change the order on the workstation too.
I decided to put my clients in alphabetical order whihc I did using the normal drag and drop. When you synchronise with Skydrive then it goes to the order on Skydrive or so I thought.
I then ordered it alphabetically on SkyDrive thinking that the workstaion would then be correct but to no avail.
To get round this I set the workstaion to manual sync, sorted them on the workstation and then sorted them on the SkyDrive. Painful yes but I only had 11 folders to sort.I then turned sync on and all was perfection. Great now I can sync on the iPad and I am ready to roll.
After syncing the iPad I now found that all the folders are back in the original non alphabetic sequence on the SkyDrive but the correct sequence is still on the workstation.
Moral of the story don't change the order of the folders. Not so good Microsoft.
Hi Andre. Yes I have used it too. One of the issues is that we are a Microsoft Gold Partner and first preference is to use Microsoft tools hence the use of OneNote.
Evernote Forever
Interesting commentary.
I discovered Evernote and use it all the time. It syncs seamlessly between my various workstations and my Android phone. Love it; even use it for work notes, references and links. It's the one place where I know I can easily find stuff.
