Good morning to all my friends on Facebook, tweeps on Twitter and colleagues on the other platforms like My Digital Life, Pinterest and the awesome 500px.

This is an important announcement!

I have decided to finally come out of the closet and declare that I am a compulsive, manic disordered, social media fanatical frenetic! Now there! thats out in the public domain for all to see.

There are no rule books for social ettiquette on social media platforms. We are all creating the ettiquette together. Just like life is for those who choose to LIVE,  social media is for those who choose to interact. There are no hard and fast rules for engagement. Just as we discover that following tweeps who follow us may not necessarily ensure the greatest feed, we realize that opening innocent links can lead to malware and the likes.

the point of this Release is to simply inform all my followers that I have decided to use all my platforms as a way to interact, communicate & archive experiences that are both social and business.

The digital era means a colloboration of business and social ideas. Gone are the days where business was the order of the day and your personal life was your own private business u kept under wraps.

Enter 21st Century - ALL Business must have a Social Aspect! In fact they already do!

Be it in Corporate Social Investment or employee loyalty programmes, all businesses do in some way or another engage in Social. Social Media is here to bridge the divide between Business and Social.

It is a tool that can endear one person to another or give a human face to an inanimate business.

Back to me - my feed will be informative, opinionated and sometimes downright contoversial.

I will push the limits, test the boundaries and interact with you if you interest me and choose to interact too.

* all views and opinions are chosen to stimulate discussion and debate around current and trending topics. in other words, I reserve the right to piss u off!

* Finally, if you choose to unfriend me, do so at your own peril!

So you mean business!

I guess that means I'll have to track you down on all platforms then! Because I have a feeling I don't want to miss this...

Bring It On Sir!

The digital divide is also something that needs to be addressed and I think that with more and more businesses providing devices and technology to their employees, that will help to solve that.

BYOD

"bring your own device" - one device connecting to office -Wi-Fi and then on your personal data connection when not @ the office.
Offices of the future will be a scaled down version of today. Peeps will work "on the fly" connecting on the go!
Now if only work can give me the new iPad or wait a minute! How bout the new Nokia Pureview.....

Misunderstanding

BYOD = Bring Your Own Device.
Getit YOUR own not the firms, you buy and upkeep and the firm dont pay you to use it. * grin *
