I don't know if you heard it but yes there was a rumour in November for a Launch coming up and here it is.
Apple has sent out invitations to select media houses to come to San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts to unveil their next generation of iPads. It will start at 10 am Pacific and 1pm Eastern.
The invitation has no confirmation of a new iPad but this message seems too interesting: "We have something you really have to see. And touch," which is seen in the invitation.
The image you see below which is copied from the invite, shows no sign of a Home button. Confused? Well if you don't know about the gestures that Apple has put in it's iOS 4 firmware which allows 2-3 finger gestures to switch between apps, go to homescreen and many other things with out pressing buttons, then you should get hold of an iPad and try it out for yourself. This is no confirmation of no Home button, the iPad is probably placed on it's side...
There is no need for the Home button besides putting the device into DFU mode or any other software related issues.
Can't wait to see what's new, as most of the new products of iDevices determine what's to come in new iOS features.
