As more of SA get with Facebook, Twitter and the other networks, this is bound to create an even greater divide between those who embrace the social network platforms and those who dont. The benefits of creating online communities not only create opportunities for networking but also simplifies the managing of personal relations which is time consuming and normally reqiures some focus.
As we catapult into this exciting digital era, social media platforms makes the task of managing relations so much more meaningful and efficient. With quick uploads @ a click of a button, pics , video clips etc, much more info can change hands than the ancient tradition of poring over countless volumes of faded pics in tattered ring-bound albums, that weighed in @ half a ton, whilst slurping coffee and downloading koeksisters!
on a serious note, i think its cool 4 peeps 2develop online relations before actually meeting. online communication builds familiarity. Take U & I, im sure by the time we meet we will have some kinda rapport....
Where can I download those koeksisters???
Haha, that's certainly a different way of looking at it! I've read plenty of people saying that social media is horrid for interpersonal relationships, but I actually agree with you that it could be a more effective way of keeping in touch - especially for those of us who have family members that are far-flung.
Now, about downloading those koeksisters... where should I go? Will downloading the precious, sweet delight eat lots of my bandwidth? Ha ha!
