Well this will be my first blog, and I am just typing this for the fun of it and how technology changed my life and what it helped me with the past few years.
I was introduced to this site by my man, since I met him I am more tech savvy... he always told me I am technologically dyslexic and I’d get mad at him.
Now I realize that it important to know about these things called cell phones. The things we use for communication...
Like in 2001 when I got my first cell phone aka brick... those things where huge. Couldn’t do anything but make a call: if the battery was low you had to put the whole mobile into the charging station... ;-)
Crazy, but believe it I was super excited about my first Nokia 3310. It could send and receive pictures and polyphonic ringtones; that was super exciting. From there I had my first Samsung clamshell colour screen, camera phone that could take mxit and have internet, then the most exciting thing was Bluetooth, mp3 and from there everything just went better.
If I think back at those days and times I surely don’t want to go back now, we have eBooks, eBook readers, BB, Android, Apple and Windows, but my choices will be Android and BB.
My eyes kind of opened to the whole technological side of things, I always just wanted a phone that was pretty; now I want so much more and do so much more.
Life without cell phones, laptops and eBook readers suck!
Welcome
I think most of us have fond memories over our first Nokia and playing snake!
PS I'm moving your blog from the Lifestyle category to the Digital as it is most relevant to digital. Looking forward to more posts from you!
Hi guys thanx for the warm welcome, sorry to only reply now. Was a bit hectically busy these past days. After 12years I am finally back in the enviroment of being a student..... In the year 2001 I was homeschooling until 2006. I am a bit overwhelmed with the changes, but I am so excited. The most exciting thing is we are 30 somethings students and a few staff members and none of us have the exact same phone... Oops forgot the few bb's
!!!! You can surely see which people know something about the technology and which doesn't..... My hubby is surely happy he gets alot of requests for help.
Welcome, bottervlieg20! Yes, indeed... I'm also a confirmed techno-klutz (things with on and off buttons seem to mysteriously, spontaneously combust or just DIE when left in my presence for too long), but don't think that has diminished my love for all things technological! LOVE love loooooooove how it has changed the world and expanded our horizons to transcend borders, etc. Getting all misty-eyed at the thought!
