Ooo, competition entry.
So 2011 has been an eventful year (although 2012 is apparently going to be bigger ^cue ominous music^, but I admit, as a noob, I've missed a lot.
This is not just because of my nooblet ways though. It's just that technology is...well...kak expensive. But through encounters with those who are technologically-endowed, I have come to decide the highlight in terms of tech for 2011: the iPad 2.
Now, don't take this lightly, because I trust Apple as much as I trust Charlie Sheen around cocaine. Apple products, in my opinion, are overpriced and over-sensationalised. And you can never be secure in a purchase because next week they've released something better and rendered your product redundant.
But with the iPad and iPad 2, they really just got it. No tablet seems to have reached the same lightweight, sleek look of the iPad2, with the dynamic tools and apps. It's like a laptop and a phone had a baby - and then that baby proceeded to become the Chuck Norris of the personal tech world.
However, 2011 wasn't without its disappointments, and I say this with specific reference to Google+. With all the buzz around its launch, I was excited. But tumbleweeds continue to roll through that digital ghost town. Of course, I think 2012 will bring whole new capabilities for the site which may one day rival FB.
I also believe we'll see 2013.
Tata for now,
Oh, and I don't own any of the products listed in the competition brief
