Since the launch of the newlook MyDL site, I have not been able to use Livewriter until the interface for it was ready. Great news for me yesterday when The Source said OK its ready. A quick test last night and bingo it did the posting.

What is great about it?

Well I can write blog posts without being connected to the Internet. Sure I could do that in Word or even Notepad but here I can add in tags, video, pictures or even picture albums into the post before uploading it.

The tags give you a number of tag providers that you can choose from. I did at one stage have them set up for MyDL but unfortunately a reload resulted in me losing them. It is also quick to switch between edit and source to put in HTML like the stuff below

One small drawback is that it is a significant download to get the software loaded but then it also comes with the latest IM and a few other tools.
