My PH with PC: Final instalment
My PH with PC prt 5 cont from prt4
I have to admit the problems I had with my littler Honey badger (HB) is that at some point on my childhood I decided I was an expert on all things electrical. A delusion I've yet to outgrow. I used to pull thing apart the see if I could put them back together again
It started put with voice boxes on dolls, I knew where the sound was coming from but I had to know why.
Then I graduated to telephones (first dial phones then tone), after that can the solar powered calculators, video machines. Now it's cellphones and computers.
So when Little things would go wrong with The HB, that would cost too much to fix professionally, I'd tend to the problem myself. Later it became too much of a mission to track down companies that would fix such an old machine, this was compounded when Compaq was sold to HP.
I kept the poor thing till 14Gb was just too little to do anything with, especially after the last format when I had to run XP on it.
I eventually had to admit it to myself, it was time for us to part ways, but I still couldn't stand to throw it away.
So I gave HB to a little boy who shares my curiosity for all things electrical.
We'd had a long run but sadly it was time to say goodbye.
