I hate guns! I hate toy guns. I even hate water guns. Hell, I'm not even letting my boys-to-be play with guns. They are dangerous weapons and they have enormous potential to kill people.  

I have been reading the news online as I always do and there has been accidental shooting where a little boy was shot. I do not call that an accident. Why use guns? Why are they needed? Do they not perpetuate the violence in our society? I definitely think they one of the many contributing factors as to why we are so violent.  

I heard through a friend who is a lawyer that there is a big crackdown on gun ownership. There has been an appeal to the public to hand in their firearms to a police station - hopefully the police then destroy them. This will then decrease the amount of guns that people have and contribute to a safer society. 

BUT, what about criminals who have guns? I doubt they acquire them by any legal means. How do we as a society try and curb this from happening? I, personally do not know!

If I were to have my way, I would liquidate all gun manufacturing businesses. Do they realise that what they make has a huge potential of killing people? I am sure they do, but who cares when you can make money from it, right?
