Dear Uncle Carl
While you may have gone to jail for protesting against the Apartheid regeime. You had a choise. You, knowing what would happen, chose to do something that you knew would get you hrown in jail. There were many other things you could do to show you did not like what was happening. It was your choice. To now come and claim your financial problems is a result of the time spent in jail is bogus. Didn't you get a very, very, very nice sallary, paid by taxpayers, because of your noble deeds in the 80s; because of Apartheid?. What did you do with that sallary? (judging by the pictures, I'd say you and Dr. Manto had a good many brandies together)
I think I should start blaming things on apartheid, afterall, I only got negative from it, and I am being punished for the sins of NP 30 years ago.
Perhaps Carl should apply for a Job with MadBob....his thinking sounds just right.
But on a more serious note, the ANC has produced quite a few lunies the last couple of years. Why stop with firing Mbeki if you could probably clean house and get rid of a third of the people. Out with the crazyies thats what I'm saying.
Compare Trevor Manual to Julius Malema, Dr Manto and now Carl Niehaus, then fire the HR deparment firsts.....

It is science, but with one basic difference....
All science assumes that there are underlining laws in nature that keep things together, and govern how things work. This seems quite a trivial assumption but it really quite huge. Now usually in science, this assumption is taken as fact. This is our starting point, because this is the very bussiness of science, to figure out the rules, hence, scientific laws and theories are the products of science.
In the case of creationism, the only difference is to start one step back. We do not merely assume that there are laws, we say there was also a law giver. This in itself should not be too hard to swallow.
So a scientist that believes in creation, will still study the laws on nature, and try to draw conclusions from observations, however, they measure these conclusions agaisnt what the Bible says. So if a conclusion fals within what the bible teaches, the scientist tries to do further research and refine the theory. If the conclusion contradicts the bible, the creation scientists will reconsider his research, and try to find out what when wrong. This does not mean he rejects science, it means he will have to try harder, because there is something not taken into account, hence the contradictory conclusion. Now this is greatly oversimplified, but basic truth.
Evolution tries to explain nature from the basic assumption that there was no initial cause and no initial design. Evolution tries to explain biology without an initial inteligence. Creationists merely say, lets look at nature assuming it was desinged.
The problem for evolution is that if its starting assumption is wrong, everything built on it will be wrong.
