Lying outside after a hectic physio session and staples being removed I was finally put into the light as to the seriousness of my accident.

The ortho doc was happy with the wound and the way its healing. I will be seeing him in 3 weeks for a check up.

The physio had a first look at the cut without any plasters and I watched his face as I took my moonboot off.

He need not have said anything but he did. He said to me that a few cm's up or down and would have lost all use of my foot. I would have servered all the nerves and muscles that makes the foot function.

After that bombshell dropped he began his session on the leg.

It was a hard but good one. He was happy with the progress of the movement and was pretty blunt with me saying that he has never seen an injury like mine and that its gonna be a long hard slog.

I know this and I'm ready for the pain. Bring it on.

I will be dancing with my baby in december well if only a slow dance.

That's my first goal. Next goal will be close to walking on the foot by March 2009.

God willing I'm ready for this journey NO matter what is thrown at me.

Ok here is the low down.

My blood tuned green the last 2 days which scared the family, me I was ok cos I is coloured blind so for me it looked like dry blood.

Once I knew about the green blood my mind fucked me up and I did not get an ounce of sleep last nite.

It was more the fact that I'm getting feeling back in my foot and it was very uncomfortable. I sweat I thought I would feel more pain but its the new sensations in my foot that is just unexplainable.

went to physio and he was happy with the progress and flexibility of the foot. He fucked me up good with the session and gave me a few excersices to do four times a day.

He said that this was a hectic injury and that I must have patience as it will be a very long process to get the foot working again.

I passed the doc to check the green blood. He did giggle and told us that its normal for the blood to go green during the healing of the wound.

I must say when he took the plasters off, it was the most excruciating pain I had ever felt. He did split the wound a lil with some red blood trickling out.

He is happy with the wound and I did take a look and its not half bad hehehehe I guess.

Next tuesday they will take the staples out and the long haul starts.

I will be visiting the physio twice a week for an hour to manipulate the tendons and muscles and strengthen the foot.

I should be able to drive an automatic car in the next 2 or 3 weeks so if u know anyone who wants to swap cars let me know as I will only b able to drive an auto for the next 6 months hehehehe.

Well that's the update.

Hey there people,

Four of South Africa's best known natural wonders have been nominated for the New7Wonders of Nature campaign, a contemporary effort to create a list of seven natural wonders chosen by people through a global poll.

To date over 400 natural wonders have been nominated from more than 200 countries worldwide, but in the end only the top seven wonders, with the most votes, will be chosen.

South Africa's four nominees are: the Cape of Good Hope and Table Mountain in the Western Cape, Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga and Limpopo, and Vredefort Crater in the Free State.

All nominees are clearly defined natural sites or natural monuments that were not created or significantly altered by humans for aesthetic reasons.

The campaign is being organised by the Swiss-based New7Wonders Foundation, after its success in organising the New Seven Wonders of the World, which where chosen by more than 100 million votes in the first-ever global campaign.

There have been very few votes for SA so please go to this link http://www.new7wonders.com/nature/en/ and vote - it would be great to have one of SA's beauties as a Wonder of the World.

Do the rigth thing and vote for your Fav SA spot.

OCTOBER 6th, BERLIN:  Depeche Mode (Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher) have today announced the European leg of their ‘Tour of the Universe 2009’. The band are currently in New York working on a new album, due April next year.

Depeche Mode’s eagerly-anticipated follow up to ‘Playing The Angel’ will be the 12th album of a glorious 28 year career in which they have sold over 75 million records. One of the world’s biggest and best live acts, ‘Tour of the Universe 2009’ will undoubtedly be the musical highlight of next year.

Kicking off in Israel on May 10th, this will be Depeche Mode’s first ever stadium tour, taking in 28 cities across 22 countries before finishing at Porto’s Superbock Super Rock Festival on July 11th.

Depeche Mode will play to over 1.3 million fans on this European leg of ‘Tour of the Universe 2009’. It’s their first since 2006’s ‘Playing the Angel’ tour, which smashed European sales records with 1.8 million tickets sold across 87 shows.

The last date of the ‘Playing The Angel’ tour – August 3rd 2006 – was to take place at Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park, but the band were forced to cancel due to the impending war. Tel Aviv’s Ramat Gan Stadium thus provides a fitting stage for Depeche Mode’s spectacular live return.

To everyone black, white, coloured and the rest of you dumb ass idiots who thinks that the emblem must go.

Let me start by saying this - the springboks united 40 million people like no other in a time in SA where the situation was volatile.

Yes it was a symbol of the old guard but it has changed so much in the last 14 years and it has brought many South Africans together.

This must stop right away and politics has to get out of sports.

Peopel grow up wounds heal and the Springbok did not start apartheid the old guard did so stop blaming things like the bok badge and al whites.

Eish people WTF - get offf it.

Well well well, it has been about 5 years since i last had to claim for an accident, and what an inconvenience it is.

It was after 5pm and i was on my way home from work, when in peak hour my mind started wondering to a happy place, which was really cool cos i wanted to be there, except that I took my feet off all the pedals and my car started rolling forward as I was on a lil downhill.

As I looked up I was about 10 meters away from the stationary car in front of me when I tried to slam on the brakes.
The problem was I was so into my dream that I had lost all my footing and I could not find the brake pedals and my car went crash boom bang into the back of a lil Renault Clio - va va voom - my ass.

I got out assessing the damage and it did not look that bad for both cars.
The poor lady i crash boom banged into was a lil hysterical and I ask her why she was so rattled and she told me she ain’t got insurance.

Now for me to not have insurance in 2008 is just plain stupid so in a way I stopped feeling sorry for her? Now back to the story.

So i go and get a few quotes for my insurance - the lowest one is a repair quote for 5k, the second one is for 14k and the last one was 21k as they did a proper assessment and told me best thing is to replace with new parts - winner.

They came and approved today - so I am getting a new front of my car - YAY.

I spoke with the insurance co yesterday and asked what the estimate damages were for the Clio - now please all sit down cos this shocked the shit out of me.

OK - I drive a BMW - she drives a Renault.

Her damages came to over 45k - WTF I was and still is shocked at the cost of her damages - are the French just crazy or is she trying to get extra cash out of the insurance - who knows - I have asked the insurance co to please just check if that quote is right cos as far as I am concerned, if she is trying to defraud then we should nail her, cos it is people like that, that makes insurance companies nail us honest citizens.

I might be wrong and out of touch with costs but I think that it’s just way too much for the damages.

Will report back to see if she was honest or not.
