Miscellaneous opinions and insights

Mostly about technology and its application with occasional opinions on humanity and some of the people we have to live with. Not scared to comment but generally I am gentle with it.

Born in England when black and white TV was a novelty in most homes, I have grown up and dedicated my life to technology.
Came to South Africa in 1970 and completed formal education here.
I have used computer technology all my working life and still am learning more about using it everyday. The speed with which we can now share ideas and information is proof that the dreams and visions I heard in the late 1960's can come true

If you want to get the headlines in the Sunday TImes there are a number of things that jyou can do. Firstly you can get found out for corruption or fraudulant dealings as Beke Cele, Schabir Shaik and a few others have. You can get there for being promiscuous as other personalities have done. but the cake must go to Julius Malema.

Moleskin is a name that many people will associate with high quality notebooks of varying sizes.
I downloaded the iPad version to give it a try as well.
Immediately I didn’t like it. It won’t work in landscape mode so you have to turn it to be portrait.
This is one application that you need to look at the help to get started and that is to me counter intuitive with apple applications. It will allow you to write on the screen using your finger or stylus and you can also use the keyboard as well. However selecting the input mode is very tedious and not quick to do.
It does not have any palm protection so you have to use it carefully if writing.
It does have different paper style including squared, plain and ruled. It will also allow you to share your thoughts with facebook, twitter and email which some people may like.
Also missing is voice recording.
You can also input images that you have taken using the camera.
If I wanted an application to use as a travel log then this might be an option. But for an application to use in a sales environment it is just too slow to use and the lack of landscape mode makes it not the best implementation of an Apple application.

An unlikely combination of people some may say. Listening to 702 Talk Radio this morning which I don't normally do because I detest John Robbie's voice, I was struck by the implication that all three of the above are intertwined in the next few days.
