Well i have to say i love SA.  The holidays keep me going.  Unfortunately i do not know what many of them are about and i can say the same for the majority of South Africans.  Yet nobody will ask.  Where does women's day come from?

My son is in the process of building his new computer, specifically for gaming purposes.  All he has is his case, but says he knows what is required for "good, fast, efficient" gaming.  Whilst he may have an idea, he has never built a PC and i need to know what processor, graphics card, etc are needed to make for good gaming.  Please - any help will be appreciated.

So great to see youngsters, taking the time to carve a path and choose a religion that they feel comfortable with.  Of course i have a bias towards Islam, but when youngsters choose to follow a religious path, it is always beneficial to their moral and spiritual well-being.

I watched a move this morning called "No Greater Love".  I am a huge romantic at heart and have to say i love anything that breathes a hint of romantacism.  After watching the movie i realised that it was a Christian missionary type movie which was not a problem at all - i dont really mind who produces a movie, providing it is watchable, has a great romantic story and has a message.  What i have a huge problem with is when the message conflicts with the movie itself.

Due  to my telkom lines having been down for almost 3 weeks now i have been forced to use my cell as well as my Victory USB Stick to connect to the internet.  The Victory stick is really frustrating - connectivity is inconsistent and it does not allow you a facility to see how much time you have left.

My sons have invited their friends around, as they do every week-end, they hook up their gaming PC's  via LAN and game - non stop - Friday night to Sunday afternoon.  The games that they  play are violent, noisy and hectically exciting.  Well to the players anyway.

Ramadan is once again approaching.  A month of fasting, giving charity and growing spiritually can only be looked upon as something good and for those doing it, immensely rewarding.

I was watching 3 overseas muslim comedians today on TV and i have to say it is a breath of fresh air listening  to them.  I love comedy but refrain from watching normal comedy shows by well known comedians as the kids watch with me and it becomes frustrating and embarassing based on the material they share.  So we just dont watch.

I have had my Blackberry for about 6 months now and lately the battery has run down to almost nothing after charging it the night before.  On spending hours on the net i realised that it is a common problem, unless i am missing something.  I do understand that there are a few applications continually running in the background, but other than that it is advised to charge daily.  Wish i had known that before getting mine - or at least been advised of the pros and cons - as i am on the road quite often and the battery runs down....unless i have my car charger available.
