Last nights ETV's Debra Patta really did a number on the spokesman for the Dept of Basic Education. He was evasive and plain just too stupid to answer questions. I dont know which would have been worse ..Him Or Angie Motshekga! One things for sure, either she doesnt read her emails OR plain simply cannot read full stop! Why Showerhead doesnt clean up quickly, one can only guess. Perhaps he is too busy contemplating his multi-billion rand jet whilst positioning himself for another term to screw the taxpayer by depoloying family to the tender boards.

IT has been a while since i last blogged. No fault of mine, Between my Nokia Smartphone, Sony Digital camera, Samsung Tab and abviously all the free Apps in Play Store, there is no longer time for much else. A coupla apps i find cool is Talking Tom 2, if you havent checked it out , do so! I love it.

as most peeps head off for destinations unknown, the ability to share content on the fly, will see a rich exchange of media over the airwaves. Smartphones will be clicking their way through hundreds of pics, to be uploaded to Facebook and other photo platforms. The original Santam ad was effective because it highlighted our lack of attention to the finer details ( the barman changed outfits 4 times). In true Nando's fashion, their response somewhat satirical somewhat slapstick took the mickey out of Santam by doing a "send-up" of the barman behind the counter showing how the menu changes. This enjoyed a great reponse on Youtube. Santam went one better by challenging Nandos's to donate a hearty meal to an orphanage in Observatory,Jozi. To be specific, 62 lemon & herb 1/2 chicken with chips, 12 kiddies meals with chips & toy, 74 hot sticky puddings,74 assorted cooldrinks and 1 Portuguese salad have to be delivered by 4pm tomorrow. What great showmanship by both brands, this tussle which is being greatly enjoyed by the masses. I'm certain that Nando's will not only oblige but use this opportunity to leverage brand position. All eyes are on 45 Urania Street, Observatory at the Johannesburg Children's Home, tomorrow. It is the social media platforms that ensured that this "tussle" was widely broadcast through posts, blogs and tweets. Twitter was abuzz and posts and comments on Facebook showed up the huge interest from Facebookers and tweeps. Youtube Santam video response received 63327 views at the time of my writing this. All in all, I wonder what Nandos response will be OR are they chicken?

my partner wants to buy CDs, I said emphatically NO! We have a CD rack thats filled to the brim with CD"S we only play perhaps on Old Year's eve. With Nokia Ovi on my cellphone, iTunes on my laptop and every friend readily willing to download their collection onto my drive , who needs CD's.
