The Nokia 808 PureView with its whopping 41MP sensor and Carl Zeiss lens is now available to local consumers from cellular company Vodacom.
With its high-resolution sensor and PureView imaging technology, the smartphone will not only enable users to take really sharp digital stills, but with the HD 1080 video recorder, they could unleash their inner Spielberg and shoot great quality video too.
Knowing that we live in the age of sharing, the PureView will shrink and save the your images in handy, compact sizes that will make it easy to email it, MMS, or post it to your favourite social networking feed.
When you are done entertaining others with your creativity, you can use the PureView’s HD video playback to watch a movie, or make use of the phone’s Dolby headphone technology with its ability to transform any stereo sound content into surround sound to immerse yourself in some music. With 16GB built-in memory, which is expandable to 32GB or 48GB, you will have ample room to store your favourite pictures and tunes.
To ensure that you don’t get lost when you are chasing after that next photo opp, the PureView also comes preloaded with Nokia Maps and turn-by-turn satnav for over 100 countries.
“This remarkable smartphone has built a reputation for delivering the highest and most outstanding imaging experience,” says Zunaid Dinath, Managing Executive of Sales at Vodacom. “Customers will be able to take quality digital photographs that capture expression, emotion and the finest of detail. We are delighted to be the first network provider in South Africa to bring the high-end Nokia 808 PureView smartphones to our customers.”
