MTN has extended its R149 per month contract to run until the end of July.
SA's second cellphone operator yesterday announced that, due to customer demand, its 24-month data promotion would be available until 31 July.
The R149 per month 2GB price plan is a two-year contract bundled with MTN F@stLink modems, Sh@reLink routers, laptops and tablets. It is also available as a SIM-only deal for those who already have a data device.
Mapula Bodibe, MTN SA's GM of consumer segments, says the consistent demand for more affordable Internet services prompted the deal. "MTN is pleased to extend this promotion to users who want to enjoy the benefits by purchasing a smartphone Internet bundle, through MTN, which is suited to their specific need, while allowing them to manage their data consumption effectively."
This follows the extension of MTN's 2GB prepaid data deal, announced earlier this month, which also saw the deal's cut off date moved to the end of July. The 2GB Internet bundle, which was reduced from R389 to R189 per month in March, is available to PayAsYouGo, TopUp and contract customers, and can be purchased as a once-off or on a recurring monthly basis.
The 2GB contract deal can be purchased at MTN Stores nationwide.
