Bringrr reminds you to bring your phone PDF Print E-mail

Most of us have done it at least once: driven off only to eventually realise that we have left our mobile phones behind.

These days, cellphones fulfil so many functions, that finding yourself without it can be a major inconvenience, not to mention a safety issue. The Bringrr is a nifty little gadget that will ensure that you never drive away without having your mobile with you.

Devised by a man named Jim Logan, the Bringrr is a small device that plugs into your car’s power port and works with all Bluetooth enabled handsets. Once you have plugged this little forget-me-not for phones into your car and paired your handset with the Bringrr, it will sound an alarm by beeping and flashing a red light whenever you start your vehicle and it doesn’t detect the presence of your phone. However, if your phone is somewhere in your car – even if it is buried deep inside your handbag or in your laptop bag – the Bringrr will still be able to pick up the Bluetooth signal.

The Bringrr is available in two models: the Classic and the Bringrr Charge. The Classic merely functions as a reminding alarm, but the Charge version pulls double duty as a reminder and a cellphone charger, with a separate model for iPhones and one that works with phones that charge with micro and mini USB  cables (such as Motorola, BlackBerry and most new smartphone models).

Both versions are available locally from online retailer WantItAll where the Classic sells for R699 and the Charge costs R777.
