So, to turn your laptop into a kind of desktop, Logitech has released the Wireless Desktop MKK710 keyboard and mouse combo.
What makes this combo special, according to Logitech, is the fact that the batteries can last up to three years, which is very impressive. Of course it depends on how often you use the keyboard and mouse, but for an average user, three years is quite attainable.
The keyboard and mouse work off a tiny, unified reciever that and can be left in the laptop’s USB slot when you pack up and move around.
According to the company, the long battery life is due to the 2.4 GHz wireless technology which is faster and more energy efficient than the normal 27 MHz wireless transmissions.
The keyboard is slim and has a very low profile with Logitech’s Incurve keys and a cushioned palm rest for a more comfortable typing experience. The mouse is a laser mouse and, according to the company, works on a whole host of surfaces.
The wireless Desktop MK710 bundle should be available locally during April and will set you back round about R1 200.
