Apple has announced that “third-party game accessories” are on their way to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, reports Mirror.co.uk.
A listing of new OS 3.0 benefits for the Apple iPod Touch says: “Connect fun new game accessories via the iPod touch 30-pin connector and Bluetooth.”
Better Bluetooth wireless accessory support is one of the features inside OS 3.0 for both the Apple iPod Touch and iPhone.
IAB intros game advertising council
The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) is forming a council aimed at educating marketers about the use of game advertising, according to Mad.co.uk.
The creation of the Game Advertising Council brings the number of IAB UK councils to 17 as it moves to further extend its remit to represent every area of online communication.
The trade body will enlist game publishers, technology providers and senior experts from agencies to form the council.
Asus unleashes G60 gaming laptop
In the Lamborghini showrooms in South Kensington, Asus has introduced its G60 gaming laptop – a 16-inch beast, with a Core 2 Quad processor, says Pocket-lint.
It also packs 4GB of DDR3 RAM, from a 320GB up to a 1TB solid state hard drive, Blu-ray, and the impressive GeForce GTX 260M graphics card, which has 1GB of GDDR3 RAM itself. All that gives it a 3DMark06 score of well over 10 000.
There`s also all the regular HDMI, SATA, and Firewire connections, 4 USB ports and a 2-megapixel Web cam, along with speakers from Altec Lansing and a turbo button for easy overclocking.
